What do you do when cardio and diet, don’t give you any results?

If you been doing cardio and dieting for 3-4 weeks and don’t see any results, it’s time for an assessment of your nutrition and exercise program. Let a professional who specializes in your goals, make that assessment for you and create a plan to help you step one foot after another and balance your way to success.  It is a fine a balance because of the paradox of  the same things that can make you lose weight are the same things that can put on weight.  Too much cardio, can make you lose muscle and slow your metabolism.

The people in the gym that weight train consistently, normally have less body fat, then people who do just do aerobics or cycling or cardio machines.

Certain hormones can build up in your system (these are catabolic) hormones, and breakdown muscle tissue and cause more inflammation. Too little calories can put your body in a starvation mode, which causes the same thing as catabolic hormones. Your  hypothalamus gland found in your brain, which is the most protected gland in your body, controls these hormones. If your stuck in a plateau, get assessed.  It just like when your car all of a sudden, can’t go over 10 mph, what do you do? You take it to a mechanic and get it checked.

Don’t think you can solve the problem yourself unless you already have that experience to solve the problem. Even if you do, it’s always good to get a second opinion. The longer you wait, the less priority you put on yourself. This problem is not separate from you. It’s your body, it’s you. Treat yourself with a little selfishness and utmost respect.
